Do you know where you ancestor died. Several country churches, schools, and private homes served as hospitals and cementeries. Soldiers of both sides were often cared for and buried by civilians so an exact location may be difficult. Sadly many of the dead were never indentified thus 1000's of men lie unmarked.If you know his unit and approximate date of death you can approximate his possible place of inturment. Good Luck!
