I have a very similar experience to Thomas. I know the date of my ancestor's death, the name of the hospital and the name of the nearby cemetery. After two years of searching, I accepted that he is buried in one of 12 unmarked graves in that cemetery. I will get a memorial marker to place by his mother and father in the family cemetery. That was the goal all along, to honor his sacrifice and bring him home.
