6th Tn. Infantry/Corporal Thomas H. Scruggs

I am looking for the grave of my great uncle who was killed at The Battle of Chickamauga on Sept.19th,1863. Can anyone give me info on exactly where the confederate dead at Chickamauga were buried? I have searched every available online cemetery and can find nothing. He was killed on the first day of battle and they may not have been able to bury him right away. Did they ever just leave the dead in the field? His name was Thomas Henderson Scruggs and he is mentioned by name in the O.R. as being killed. He was with Maney's Brigade and belonged to the 6th Tennessee Infantry, CSA. I would like to honor him for the great sacrifice he made. Also I am looking for any information on the 2nd Mississippi Partisan Rangers, the unit in which my great grandfather fought. Thanks in advance for any info you may be able to give me.
