Hello Alan, thanks for your reply. As far as I can tell from looking at Sistler's Confederate pension index, he didn't receive a pension and from the Confederate Widow's book by the Wierfering he didn't have a wife who applied either. I wrote to the Nat'l Archives for his record fromt he 33rd, but they wrote back that they couldn't find one, even though I gave them the info from the NPS CW soldier & sailor database. I have since reordered the record and I'm waiting for another reply. Thanks again, Dave
