Re: A Sourcebook for the Civil War in Tennessee."

James,

Great site. I only complain having to download a PDF file to review.

Nonetheless, I downloaded 1862 and much to my delight found a letter from my regiments [43rd Tenn.] LtCol to his wife describing the repulse of a Yankee raid on Chattonooga June 1862. I have being having troubles getting a copy of this letter and others written by the Col. from UNC, Chapel Hill which I visited last month.

Will study your site more closely now as I can see much more intelligence in my quest. I am writing a history of the 43rd Tennessee Regiment Vols. which served as both infantry and cavalry.

Not having checked all of your work, do you source your information?

You can review my website at:

Many thanks,
