Battle of Shiloh

My great great grandfather Edward Rockett was wounded at the Battle of Shiloh.
Aug. 18, 1861 Rockett, Edward Company A, 11th La. Inf. Entered Aug. 18, 1861 , Camp Moore, La. Present on roll to Oct, 31, 1861. Confederate. Again we find him: Capt. Winstons Co. , Tennessee Light Art'y. He went in a private, he cam e out a Private, and the note on his record says Rockett ED. One of the guns they used was a 129-pounder rifled gun, known as the Belmont Gun, and from this gun the company got the name of the Belmont Battery. His war record says he was discharged at that time. After he got well he signed back up in Mobile Ala. with Capt Humns Co. C Tennessee Artillery Corps. His record says he was never paid. I guess the South didn't have much money. He to was in battles all over the South and was captured and sent to the Rock Island Prison. That was a horrable place. If he hadn't lived I wouldn't be here.
