I have a Civil War card. I don't know if it is Union or Confederate. It says:

Widow? Scott Virginia F. A.
Minor? Nelson,? David-Stans or Hans?

18???12 Minor. Application# 200677, Certificate? 155829 (or last digit 7)

Does anyone have any idea what state this is from?

My Civil War Veteran is John Scott b. 1823 AL or TN.
He lived in Pontotoc Co., MS in 1860. I assume he died in the war or shortly afterward. His family is living without him in the next county, Lafayette, in 1870 and 1880. His wife's name was Virginia Wait, Waite, or Waits b. 1830-1836 SC or MS.
