In his pension application, Flavius Josephus Tyler of Co. "A" states that he enlisted at Cherokee, Ala., on Oct. 1, 1864, going to Georgia when Wheeler's Cavalry rode east. Wounded at Griswoldville, Ga., he received his parole at Charlotte NC on May 3, 1865.
