I have a ggg grandfather, Moody Young, who served in the 6th TN. Inf. Co. I, CSA.

His service records contain only one card or page, dated Aug. 12 1861.

The 1890 Veterans census states that he served until Dec. 1864.

Does anyone know how I could find out whether he served until Dec. 1864 the date in the census, or if was shortly discharged after the date on this service record?

Neither he nor his widow ever applied for a pension.
