My Great-Great-Grandfather William Monroe of Washington County Ky. inlisted into the 4th Ky. Inf. of U. S. Army on Oct 9 1861 at camp Dick Robinson in Garred County Ky. He re-enlisted as a volunteer in 1 Jan 1864 in Chattanooga Tenn. I've been told there is a marker bearing his name along with others on Snodgrass Hill. I've tryed to pull up something on internet about the marker, but can't seem to find any.
I'm hoping to go see it. Is it easy accessible to get too, and is there motels close by? Also how about entertainment for children age 9.
