Here is what I have on Pvt. Thomas Haney.

Sharon Matingly provided me with the information on his subsequent life outside the regiment. Unfortunately, I cannot immediately access her email address. However, you should be able to find her via the internet.

He does not appear on any list of those who died in Union POW camps. How did you gain this information?

I like to add to my roster bios the name of descendants and their home of records. Could you pass on to me via separate email that information.

I will add you to our data base of descendants and keep you informed of further reunions. Presently, we are thinking of holding our next reunion at Vicksburg two years hence.

Haney, Thomas, Pvt., Co. H, born 1809 in South Carolina, enlisted for 12 months November 16, 1861 at Riceville, Tenn., age 52, last paid December 31, 1861, last present at Jan./Feb. 1862 muster held at Zollicoffer, Tenn. April 18, 1862, believed killed "by his own men" or "bushwacked" leaving behind a widow and 6 children, a son James voluntered for service in the 11th Tennessee Cavalry, USA, Co. G, farmer owning 80 acres of land in McMinn County, Tenn., married 1847 to Eliza Raby, which union produced six children (M268 Roll 292) [Descendant - Sharon Kay Haney Mattingly, Aledo, IL]
