You might check with the Tennessee State Archives. They hold a file called the William Alonzo Wainwright Papers MF1652

Mr. Wainwright was the Assistant Quartermaster in charge of the Nashville depot. The original depot records were destroyed in the 1880's but Wainwright maintained a complete duplicate personel copy of his oficial records. The collection has over 20,000 items in it, a near complete record of all accounts and correspondence during his tenure.
