On October 21st Gen. J. M. Shackleford reported the regiment with him at Jonesborough [vol. XXXI/1, p. 687.]
On October 31st it was in Col. Hoskins' Brigade, Willcox's Division.
Gen. WIllcox's reports states that Col. Hoskins' Brigade was withdrawn to Knoxville upon the appearance of Longstreet's troops near Loudon [vol. XXXI/1, p. 403]. It appears that those orders were delivered on Nov. 15th [vol. XXXI/3, p. 158].
Afterwards the brigade formed part of the garrison of the City of Knoxville.
