Thanks. I'm trying to figure out where this branch of Hoover's came from. Mine came from Switzerland, through Germany, to Pennsylvania, then to Ohio, then to Missouri at the time of the ACW. I suspect the ones you mention were of the same basic migration before the American Revolution.
