I think you are confussing with Ft.Pillow where several union men were massacred in 1864 and retailation was likely. Gen. Pillow/Floyd surrendered at Ft.Donelson There is a Cpl. Samuel Morrow, Cavalry, Bradfords Battalion,13 Regiment,TN.CAV.That regiment had garrison duty at Ft.Pillow
