Thanks for all the great information Doug. I am still trying to track down my people. Both men are probably related. Any idea where JM Cunningham might have been from? Family history says one of Mordicia Cunningham's sons fought with Ashby. My real goal is to find John S. Cunningham's military history. That is who I am decended from. The S. Middle initial is only found in my Great Aunt personal notes. Two places. I believe over the many years that there is an error some where.
