Robert B. Blackwell who might be my 4th Great Grandfather, ran a ruthless band called "The Blackwell Crowd" who ran in Chilton, Shelby, and Autugua Counties in Alabama. They were Republicans who continued fighting for the South in Alabama. I am desperatly trying to find out who my 4th Great Grandfather is. My 3rd great was Colonel A.J. Blackwell who settled Blackwell, Oklahoma. He left an illegitimate son named Colonel L. Blackwell my great great grandfather who lived in Clanton, Alabama. His son, Jimmie Samuel Jefferson Blackwell was my great grandfather and his son James Doyle Blackwell is my grandfather. My father is Jimmy H. Blackwell currently of Montgomery, AL.
