Hutson appears in records of Capt. G. C. Sandusky's Co. "H", 3rd Confederate Cavalry Regiment. This company was recruited in Meigs County TN. During September of 1862 Sandusky's men had been on picket duty near Boliver and Stevenson in Jackson County, Ala.
