I have written a history or the 3rd E. TN as part of a family history, and am currently reformatting it as a book. I don't know if I will publish it or not, but am contemplating it. My Satterfield, Cox, and Parker men were in Co. "B" of the 3rd, and were in Houk's Battalion at London when Chiles and Cross were at Big Hill and Richmond. I would like to know much more about Richmond. The O.R.s are scant on the subject, aside from the after-battle report of Gen. Cruft which mentions Chiles being "in the rear during the fight, but engaging the enemy during the retreat". Do you by chance have any info about a Francis Marion Alexander, who was captured at Big Hill? Email me directly if you choose, and we can compare notes.
