Hello,

I am doing the flags book for the Tennessee State Museum and the flag of this unit is high on my list to find,

However, despite the state Adjutant General ordering the turning in of all colors in June, 1865, the Union Tennessee flags are missing today. I suspect that when the ex-Confederates got back into political power these flags were disposed of in some manner.

The only Tennessee Union cavalry flags that are still extant is a troop guidon for the 4th Tennessee Cavalry (US) and a guidon for the 1st Tennessee Cavalry (US).

If you happen to know the color bearers for the 2nd Tennessee Cavalry (US) then I would appreciate their names.
