Mr. Grayson,

Reference: The Official Military Atlas of the Civil War. Plate 142. Pleasant appears to be halfway between Speedwell and Oldtown.

Looking at the topography given and referring it to modern topographic maps it appears that Oldtown is the present day community of Town Creek and Pleasant is the present day community of Powell Valley.

I am sure if you contact the County Historical Society and the Library they should have more specific data on the area and families.
