James M. Anderson

James M. Anderson b. 1843 and d. Mar. 21, 1862 was taken prisoner at Fort Donelson. He became ill while being transported on a train to Camp Tippecanoe, in Lafayette, IN. He died in Crawfordsville, IN and is buried in an unmarked grave in the Old Town Cemetery. I am ordering a memorial stone for him with the inscription:
IN MEMORY OF
JAMES M. ANDERSON
A TENNESSEE VOLUNTEER
CSA
1843-MAR. 21, 1862
PRISONER OF WAR
He was only 19 when he died so I doubt that there are any direct descendants, but if there are any relatives of this young hero who would like to help honor his name, please get in touch with me.
