The Joseph Voss I have found in Lauderdale County was born in 1865, the year the Civil War ended. His father was a C. Ramsey Voss. There is a C. R. Voss who was a member of the 1st Tennessee Heavy Artillery (CS) and the 15th Consolidated Confederate Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry.
