I rechecked and he was actually from Lawrence county but, is supposed to have got married in Lauderdale county 1862. Joseph Voss 1841-1919 was the son of Robert Newton Voss 1810-1884 of Lawrence county. Joseph had brothers- Wiley, Allen, James, John all of whom should have been of age at the time of the war.
