Confederates buried in Nashville

I just found out that my GGG uncle, Pvt. Lawson Noonan Chamberlain of Co A, 9th Arkansas Infantry regt, is buried in the Confederate Circle at Mount Olivet cemetery in Nashville. The last entry in his Conf service record says he "was left sick in Bowling Green...supposed to be prisoner." This was in Feb 1862 as the troops led by Gen. Albert Sidney Johnston retreated before a larger advancing union force.

I'm trying to learn if --
(A) Lawson was captured in a Bowling Green hospital, then taken by the Yankees to a hospital in Nashville, later died and was buried there, or
(B) Somehow he managed to get to Nashville before the Yankees showed up, was treated in a Confederate hospital, then died and was buried.

Is there a record of the sick Conf soldiers catured by the union in Bowling Green? Also, is there any record available of Conf soldiers who died under southern care in Nashville hospitals? Dates of death and burial, perhaps? I know some men in Lawson's company died in the Female Academy Hospital in Nashville, according to their service records. Any other good sources to try?

Many thanks for any help. I have a copy of an 1861 letter my uncle wrote from camp in Union City, Tenn, if anyone is interested.

Does anyone know of any other good sources
