William David Pounds One report says he was killed at the Battle of Gaines Mill, Hanover Co. VA Near Cold Harbor. Then another relative thinks he was killed at Chattanooga TN. Were these men buried ina common grave? Where would I find the report of his death, if his commanding officer kept records. He probably did not have time. I think of the Widow back home who never knew what happened. It must have been terrible living with that fear.
