Beech Grove Confederate Cemetery, Coffee County

Hi
I'm looking for anyone who might have some information on this cemetery, perticularly the headstone there for my gggggrandfather, Marshall Ferguson of Co K, 24th TN Infantry. According to this site,
http://www.kimshockey.com/cw/cwg/beechgrove.html
He was supposedly killed at the Hoovers Gap/Beech Grove engagement on June 24-26, 1863 and buried there at Beech Grove sometime in 1866.
According to Marshall's records that I found at the State Archives he enlisted August 24, 1861 at Camp Trousdale, and was discharged July 16, 1862 for being over 35 years old (He was 51 when he enlisted). Census records show him alive and well in 1880, and records show he died January 17, 1882. Is it possible he was buried at Beech Grove when he did pass away?
Anyone with knowledge of the folks buried there I would appriciate any info.
Thanks
Todd Knight
