It certainly doesn't look promising.

He is not recorded on the Memorial Roll for the battalion found on p.603, Vol. 2, of the Military Annals of Tennessee, Confederate, ed. John Berrien Lindsley, Broadfoot Publishing Company, Wilmington, NC, 1995, originally published in 1886.

Furthermore, there does not appear to be any published material on the battalion.

You might try a query on the Bedford County genweb page.

Here is what the U. S. Army Military History Institute, Carlisle Barracks, Pa holds in their unit bibliography, rather scant:
