Hello- I am searching for any possible information regarding my great great grandfather, Oliver Hicks, b. 1843 in Tennessee (probably Jackson County). I have been able to access records through Ancestry & the National Park Service that identify an Oliver P. Hicks as serving in the 13th Tennesse Cavalry (Gore's), in & out at the rank of private. What I do not know how to get, is information regarding when & where this Hicks enlisted, which would give me a big clue as to whether this is the right man (I suspect he is, given the less-than-common first name). Any additional information about Oliver Hicks would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Dana
