50th Tennessee Infantry Company G

My G-G-Grandfather Matthew P. Hall enlisted with the 50th Tennessee Infantry on November 26,1861. He fought at Fort Donelson, was imprisoned at Camp Douglas and exchanged at Vicksburg on September 20th,1862. The report of death shows that he died on October 28th,1862 at Cold Water Mississippi near Holly Springs. I am trying to find two items of information. Was there a battle or skirmish in that area on or near that date? Second is there any way to find where he is buried? I would love to place a marker over his gravesite. Thanks for your help.
