Thanks for your reply. You were correct when you stated that he faced a lot of tribulation. I have a copy of a letter he sent home from Camp Douglas the prison camp. In the note he said that things were getting better and that the number of solders that died each day in camp had dropped to only four or five a day. It makes me see how hard their life was at the time and how blessed we are today. Steve
