It may very well be. When I checked the NARA files some time back, there were only two Misenheimers listed - a Daniel from TX and a Daniel J. from NC. Misenheimer researchers all state that Daniel served from NC, but he had a cousin named Daniel J. that died in 1862. Daniel Monroe Misenheimer and two of his known brothers were enumerated on the 1850 Caldwell County Census, and I feel certain that the Daniel I am looking for served from TX.

I am expecting a copy of the widow's pension application any day now. That should help.

Just to clear things up, the Parole Slip mentioned in my first message has to do with Isom P. Olive of Williamson Co. TX - not this Misenheimer. These are two separate issues. I just looked at the Parole Slip, since I couldn't find a 36th Texas Infantry anywhere.
