Parole of Prisoners at Columbus, TX

Good Day,

My gg grandfather, Theodore H. Streich, enlisted in Mann's Reg't Texas Cavalry (Bradford's Regiment)Co. E, (Confederate);April 28, 1864 at Sweet Home, TX by Capt. Scott.

Between May 17 to Dec. 31, 1864, the Company Muster Roll shows him as being "present".

On a Company Return for the month of April, 1865, he was absent..."at home sick".

Now I have one last piece of paper saying that T. H. Streich, Pvt. Co. E, Mann's Tex. Cav, shows his name appears on a "Parole of Prisoners of War", at Columbus, Texas. He was paroled July 10, 1865.

I would like to know where would I find more information on Parole of Prisoners of War in Columbus, TX? Was there a prison there? If he was at home sick in Halletsville, Lavaca County in April, he was a prisoner for at the most 2 months.
