20th Texas Cavalry Website

Dear Phillip,

I'm am very interested in your posting for a couple of reasons. First of all, I'm a mixed-blood Cherokee and member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Secondly, I maintain a website with a roster and some limited history of the 20th Texas Cavalry at http://www.history-sites.com/20txcav/20tx.htm which you might want to visit.

From what tribe of Indians was your ancestor descended?

I'm hoping Ralph Jones, Superintendent of the Honey Springs Battlefield reads this message, as he is accummulating information on individual soldiers who participated in the battle and your ancestors Indian ancestry would certainly be of interest.

With best regards,

Jim Martin
