Right off the top of my head I can't think of a specific "source" to refer you to on the subject of "galvanized yankees." What little I know was sort of off-the-cuff references over the years. I suspect that digging through the huge data base in "Official Records..." one could find some information, but that would be a pretty huge amount of digging. Patty Rochette (Patricia Adkins-Rochette) has done some pretty deep research for her book and might be able to head you in the right direction with some possible references. I haven't tried it, but I'm told that the ever expanding Google data base may be a source to come up with some information. I will also post to this site a quiery and see if we can get some hits back from some of our "readers."
