Thomas,thanks for the comeback. So,Harrell was the author of the Dallas Library item.Was it a detailed diary.All I have is about 3 pages length. The 13th-22nd business has confused me for years. Could it be that in our "Dark Corner of the Confederacy" the Col. did what he wanted? Richmond and Cooper were far away and this was a confederacy. Was 13th a left over from militia days? The confusion was still there in 1927,the Greenville Messenger reported on August 25,1927 W.M.Arnold had been elected commander of C.V. Camp Joseph EJohnston. The roster list that day included the members unit. For Commander Arnold it was Co.D 13th Division cavalry.Divtsion? Let me hear from you.B.Cody Barron
