Re: Pearsons Partisan Rangers Matagorda County

Thanks to Mr. Jordan and Mr. Pitts for responding to my post.I have recently came across a book that was written in the fifties, Miss Ella of Deep South Texas, which states that E.A. Pearson of Matagorda formed a company that became part of the Sixth Texas Infantry. This company was transferred to Granbury's Brigade, Cleburne's Division, Army of Tennessee. According to the book, Pearson was forced to retire from active duty due to ill health. I am still wondering if it he formed the partisan ranger unit once he returned to Matagorda or my ggg grandfather, Henry Shrock, was a member of Granbury's Brigade.
