I have one "Barnett B. Kemp" in a Johnson County, Texas miliita listed in my 128-page Name Index.

My Beckner family of Missouri: Interesting that they named their child for a Union general while they moved to a Quaker community in Indiana:

My Nancy F. Moore, m. in Polk Co MO on Dec 25, 1860 to Daniel Beckner [b-1821 Old Dominion, Montgomery Co VA-1920 LaClede Co MO], son of Mary Lease [b-1798 PA, m-1813 York Co PA and d-1862/3 Elkhart Co IN] and Daniel Beckner II [b. 1789 PA]. Nancy was member of Missionary Baptist Ch. Dan's father was a brick mason; notice Nancy's dad was a brickmason. In 1827 the Beckners moved to Preble Co OH; 1835 to Elkhart Co IN; 1839 to Pulaski Co, now Dallas Co MO. During Civil War, they went back to near Goshen, Elkhart Co IN, prob where Nancy died. Interesting that Gen Seigel, Union general at Battle of Wilson's Creek, Polk Co area, since their son was named "Seigel." Issue, 2 ch: Seigel Beckner, b. 1862 in Elkhart Co IN; Jesse Beckner, b. c1863 d. bef 1880 or 1889.

Daniel Beckner, m,2. to Ellen Catherine Schoolfield [b. 1838 TN TN TN]. Dan lived in Spring Hollow twp, Laclede Co MO; d. 1920; b. Lebanon Cem, Laclede Co MO. Dan rep Laclede Co MO in 1877 State Leg on Greenback ticket; picture in capitol. Issue, 4 ch: Chloe Beckner, b. 1871 and m. Beckner; Earl C Beckner; Dan Beckner; Levi Beckner (d-bef 1889).
