This is what I could dig up on this unit.

The Austin Light Artillery was a nickname for the Texas 6th Field Artillery Battery. Organized June 1861 and mustered in on Oct. 14, 1861.

First Commander, Captain H. Willke. Captains; R.W.Yates and Samuel W. Allen.

It was armed with two 24-lb. Howitzers and four 12-lb. Napoleons in Aug. 1862. Designated as the 6th Field Battery on Nov. 19th 1864. It was armed with two 24-lb Howitzers and two 12-lb. Napoleons in May 1865.

Texas Willke's Artillery Battalion.
First Commander, Major H. Willke

Texas 5th Field Artillery Battery also known as Company A, Willke's Artillery Battalion. Organized in Fayette County on Oct. 12, 1861. Designated as the 5th Field Battery on Nov. 19, 1864.

It was armed with two 12-lb. Napoleons and two 6-lb. Smoothbores in May 1865.

Battles; Calcasieu Pass - May 6th 1864

First Commander, Captain Edmund Creuzbaur then Captain Charles Welhausen

Texas Willke's Artillery Battalion
Company C, Organized in 1863.
Company D, Organized in 1863.

Surrendered by General E.K. Smith May 26th 1865.
