Re: Roberston Cavaliers - Terrell's Texas Cavalry?

Late in the war, Terrell's old regiment was commanded by Lt. Colonel John C. Robertson. I do not know if this has a connection to the name "Robertson Cavaliers" or not. This information came from page 176 of the book entitled, "Terrell's Texas Cavalry" by John Spencer. On page 75 of this book it says, "Lt. Colonel John C. Robertson, a 39-year-old lawyer from Tyler, Texas was born in 1824 and educated at Harvard, where he studied law. He was appointed Lt. Colonel of Terrell's Regiment (34th Texas Cavalry) in 1863."
