I'm going to have to look for this one. I don't think the official name of the ranch during the CW was White's ranch. I've read somewhere that that the ranch house was known as the "White House". The King-Kenedy steamers often anchored off the ranch complex. A hurricaine just after the war (1867?) sank several of them at that anchorage.
