34th Texas Cavalry/Alexanders Regt/2nd Part Rgrs

RE: William H. Flemming/Fleming
Hi Everyone. Hoping you can help me sort something out..
I have exchanged info several times on this board regarding my great grandfather Wm Flemming/Fleming, referenced above. A couple of years ago, I obtained what I could from the National Archives, and that consisted of only two documents, and little other information, but it confirmed by documentation, his being in the 34th Texas Cavalry (aka Alexander's Regiment Texas Cavalry; aka 2nd Regiment Texas Partisan Rangers), and a Captain in Company K of the 34th Texas Cavalry. One of the documents shows that he is on a list of officers relieved at the re-organization of Colonel Alexander's Regiment, June 27, 1862 as approved by AOC of April 16, 1862 and a G.O. (# not shown)dated June 26, 1862. (C.B. Titus is elected in place of W.H. Flemming). The list is dated Hdqtrs. Dept Indian Territory, Fort McCulloch, June 30, 1862. I have also seen him listed as a Captain of Company I in the 34th Texas Cavalry (Starnet site..), and have found the photo referenced elsewhere of him with his unit (banner overhead) being Company G, Waller's Battalion, Tom Green's Brigade. Two out of the three things are indisputable as far as their documentation is concerned, but I have yet to find the common thread among them, and can't find him under anything of Waller's Battalion or Green's Brigade (Wharton's Div??) anywhere. Any suggestions?? I've worn the markings off the keyboard, and printed reams of paper out to pour over, but need some help from some of you experts. Many thanks for any help you can give me..
