34th Texas Cavalry/Alexanders Regt/2nd Part Rgrs

Carolyn Ellertson,

I have your [Private] Wm. H. Fleming listed in the same June 1861 militia listing with one "1st Lt. Ebenezer Titus" and one "Pvt. Thomas T. Titus." Then in another militia, one "Pvt. E. B. Titus" enlisted about August 1861 in a militia that was on on their way to Wilson's Creek in Missouri; hence, the officers had already been elected. Since these militia were from Red River County, I think the gent you are calling "C.B. Titus" must have been "Ebenezer B. Titus."

Below is my Graves-Fleming of Red River County family sheet. Notice Amelia Fleming Graves' brother, Major Fleming. Was that your "Wm. H. Fleming."

Robert Crawford "R.C." Graves, m. in Red River Co TX on Feb 14, 1867 to Amelia E. Fleming [Jul 23, 1848 TX-Jan 30, 1921 Clarksville Cem], dau of Samatha [b-1822 GA] and Perry H. Fleming [b-1820 Georgia].

Ameilia's sibs: Mary Stone [d. bef 1914]; Thomas Fleming [d. aft 1914]; Major Fleming [killed CW]; James Fleming [d. bef 1914].

R.C. Graves enlisted Jun 1861 Jefferson TX in CSA as orderly Sgt, Lone Star Co, 9th TX Infantry, lost his right arm. R.C. lived in Red River Co since Civil War, in Clarksville since 1880; was the Red River Co TX Tax collector in 1887; and buried in the Old Clarksville Cem, Red River Co.

Issue, 6 ch: Thomas Dallas Graves, b-Jan 11, 1869-jul 17, 1879 Red River; Albert Morgan Graves, Nov 16, 1870-Sep 1. 1938 Clarksville Cem, and m. Miss Jim Johnson; Stella Graves, Nov 1976-c1966 Clarksville Cem, and m. Elmore "Elmo" McClinton [1876-1972 Clarksville Cem]; Delia Graves [Oct 1878-Sep 23, 1947] and m. Jessee Britt Dickson [1873-Sep 23, 1947]; Pearl sep 14, 1880-nov 4, 1890; Cleveland Graves (fe), Apr 1883-c1971, Clarksville Cem, and m. Ollie Lane Doakes [1877-1948]

My 1,014-page book has 225 militia listings of North Texas. ..I'd be happy to address questions or share more family sheets.
