Burton {berton] Holder b abt 1842 in Polk Co., MO served in Company B of the 22 Texas Calvery Unit. Formed by a Col. Richard. H. Taylor during the spring of 1862.

He was the son of Bledso Holder and Elizabeth Ann Steuart, Chickasaw Indian decent via Colbert-Stewart/Stuart line.

His son was Walter Monreo Holder.[ My great grandfather]They are all listed on the Dawes final rool and Walter "Roe" Holder and his son Cecil Carl Holder, and siblings, are listed on the rolls of the tribe as well as the 1900 Oklahoma Territory Cences.
