This is just a passing note, because I never saw the name anywhere else. My GGF, Lemuel H. Boring, who died at Seven pines, was married to a woman, my GGM, nmaed Mahaly. No one in the family ever knew her last name. They were married about 1857, when she was 15, and my GF, Isaac Thomas Boring, was born in 1859. The 1870 census listed Mahaly as living in Woodstock, Ga., with my great uncle, Alexander Boring. She never filed for a widow's pension, that I know of, unless she moved out of state at some point. This is not too likely, as Grandad stayed in Marietta. He married his second wife in Ball Ground Ga., in 1906. He was 27 years older than Grandmother Maud (Wallace). She was also 15. She was supposed to be half Cherokee, but I have not been able to prove that. Good luck on your search. Stan
