The Rocky Creek crossing on the Fort Smith Road (Line Road, old Butterfield Stage Road), is located 2 miles northeast of the present town of Stringtown, Oklahoma. The junction of the Fort Smith Road and the Texas Road was located where Stringtown is today.

Rocky Creek crossing on the Fort Smith Road was located between Geary's Station and 3-miles southwest of Waddell's Station on the Fort Smith Road. The battle of the Middle Boggy took place where Stringtown Oklahoma is today. Middle Boggy Creek is known as North Boggy Creek today.
