Thomas, I am sure that the Nathan L. Davis that was in the 13th Cavalry is the correct one. Nathan's family moved into Leon co.sometime just prior to 1860. Do you have any other information on him or any idea where I might find out more? As far a William Wade, I am not sure of whether this is the correct William or not. I think there were several. William Lynch Wade was supposed to have died very soon after the war was over, but I have no idea of the date or if the death was due to injuries received in war. He left his widow and a young (about two years old) daughter. Nathan married her in March of 1867 in Panola co.TX. There have been "rumors" that he knew William L.Wade due to military service.
