In my files I show a Corp. L.P. Barrett being captured at Pleasant Hill, La. on April 9, 1864 while attending to Capt. Petty (commander of Co. F) who had been wounded. If I recall correctly, Petty ordered Barrett to fall back with the regiment but Barrett refused to leave and was captured with Petty.
