Great to hear from family--Always! We have Robert B. Walters, descended from Robert S. Walters, b. Franklin Co GA 1799 one of the 7 sons ( My Tillman was the 1st of the 7 Sons, another brother of Wade Hampton Walters, Sr, b.(Yours) 1810 of MOSES Walters b.1770 VA. & Eilizabeth Cauthon ( Son of Robert Walters Sr.& Johannah McBee VA) He died in 1877 and is b. with his wife, Margaret (Peggy) Ables)and they are bd. in old family (Redlands) Cemetery about 15 mi SE of Canton, Texas. Well, this Robert B. lives in the old Walters house there now and is extremely knowledgeable about family matters. He is now in his 80s (I am 78) Either you know him or should know him, or should. The way I have it is that the GA born WHW had a son, WHWJr. This WHWJr was a Pvt in the 17th Texas Cav Reg`t in the CW and died in ARK of measles before the Battle of Arkansas Post.Then they consolidated the 17th & 18th Cav Regt`s about that same time, but WHJr died before the Battle of Arkansas Post took place. At least he diden`t have to endure the battle, then only to die of measels. I assume you have a lot of info on Lycurgus Walters. I would love to hear his personal story. THANKS for writing.
