correction needed: "motion of Corwin" ? ?

Fran Bolton,
.
You were right. "De Cra & Ney" turned out to be "DeBray and my." Again, thank you for voicing your insightful guess.
.
W.C. Young was referencing an Aug 28, 1861 letter that DeBray, Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Texas, Edward Clark, wrote to "L.P. Walker, Secretary of War (a civilian) Richmond, Virginia."
.
Colonel Wm. Cocke Young's handwriting is difficult at best to read made harder to transcribe since he sometimes skips words or even phrases such as "Ind. A" that means "Indian Territory-Arkansas" and "s'd" means "started", etc. We transcribed several of his letters, each one harder than the last.
.
In the Oct 18, 1861 letter below, please help discern what he meant by "... ?_X_ X _X_ [motion of Corwin?} ..." term.

1861 Grayson Co TX, Sherman, Oct 18........Dear Sir [His Excellency Edward Clark, Governor of Texas]:

I have this moment rec’d your dispatch by Capt. [J.] Hopkins of 10th Inst. I arrived at this place
on Sunday last, since then I have been much engaged in mustering Col. W.B. Sims’ Regmt (succeeded by
Maj. W.C. Batte) by the order of the Secretary of War date 25th ult. (of which you have Red River
[County]). Thus I was ordered to muster my own and the other 3 Regmts entered by you in the Confederate
Service and march them accordingly to Genl. [Ben] McCulloch in Missouri. I request the change of the
destination of [M.F.] Locke’s & [W.H.] Parson’s Regmts.

Your communication by [X.B.] DeBray & my Representative of the Sec. of War is virtually
contradicted by a ... ?_X_ X _X_ [motion of Corwin?} ... will produce confusion and disappointment with
Genl. McCulloch who has been notified of the error. I have also rec’d word from Genl. McCulloch to
march the troops across Ind-A. [Indian Territory-Arkansas]. My opinion is that your men have to report
to him [McCulloch] then go up to Missouri. My Regmt’s commanders s’d [started] moving yesterday 6
companies: Capt. John C. Burke [of Red River Co TX], Capt. John P. Hill [of Titus Co TX], George R. Reeves,
Wallice of Bowie [Capt. T.H. Wallis of Bowie Co TX] (Jr. Capt to S.B. Maxey), Capt. Wm. C. Twitty, &
Capt. James D. Young. These other companies will march today as I report. Capt. [J.M.] Bound’s
Company has just been mustered and will stand as needed next, which completes my Report. Some
Regiments will march about the last of the week.

I will be pleased to hear from you at anytime.

Your Obt Svt. & friend,
.

Wm. C. Young

Please take a stab at guessing what W.C. Young meant by what looks like "motion of Corwin" in this 1861 letter, i.e. "... ?_X_ X _X_ [motion of Corwin ?} ..." in the above transcription.
.
I will gladly send a facsimile of the handwritten letter plus my transcription, line by line, via e-mail upon request. By the way, I'm sending these 5 pages to Fran Bolton via a 2007 e-mail that I found on the Internet.
